Rejoice Health Foundation as the
name says aims at bringing joy and health through its various programs aimed at
propagating healthcare, mental wellness, preventive medicine and nutrition
education. In today’s scenario where world is flooded with zillions of
communicable and non-communicable diseases. It is RHF which is untiringly
working to create awareness and knowledge in the community about all facets of
health and co-related fields.
RHF will be the building block
connecting communities, doctors, like minded scientists, innovators and
students by imparting extensive knowledge, developing skill and enhancing
curiosity to carry out researches.
It focuses on bringing holistic
healing and make healthcare a sustainable model. It promotes and works for
AYUSH, our ancient system which is the most sustainable of all to cure, prevent
and protect mankind. RHF is a goal oriented organization which clearly follows
United Nation 17 sustainable development goals. RHF has it’s extensions in Japan,
UAE and Hungary. It promises to organize intellectual programs and conferences
in different parts of world connecting the members of RHF and spreading
awareness worldwide. RHF will be conducting it’s research oriented disease and
disability awareness projects with governmental organizations as its support.
With great pride I want to share
that RHF is launching a global campaign for creating awareness for
Autism, learning disabilities, ADHD, Down syndrome, PDD-NOS and other
disabilities prevalent all over the world. It’s our prime motto to educate the
masses about these SPECIALLY-ABLED creations of GOD. We want to work
extensively towards their inclusion and integration into society. It’s our
endeavor to start at school level and also provide a support system for CWSN
(Children with Special Needs). A major challenge is sensitizing society and
empowering the children with special needs. We want them to experience life to
the fullest and create a sustainable model for their acceptance and integration
into communities.
People
with disabilities are vulnerable because of the many barriers we face:
attitudinal, physical, and financial. Addressing these barriers is within our
reach and we have a moral duty to do so...... But most important, addressing
these barriers will unlock the potential of so many people with so much to
contribute to the world. Governments everywhere can no longer overlook the
hundreds of millions of people with disabilities who are denied access to
health, rehabilitation, support, education, and employment—and never get the
chance to shine.
Stephen Hawking
As per Census 2011, in India, out
of the 121 Cr population, about 2.68 Cr persons are ‘disabled’ which is 2.21%
of the total population. In an era where ‘inclusive development’ is being
emphasised as the right path towards sustainable development, focused
initiatives for the welfare of disabled persons are essential. The National Policy for Persons with
Disabilities (2006) recognizes that Persons with Disabilities are valuable
human resource for the country and seeks to create an environment that provides
equal opportunities, protection of their rights and full participation in
society. Our goals are in sync with these.
To achieve our goals we would like
to invite you to join hands with us and take our vision forward.
Agenda:
- To create awareness with the help of
brochures, awareness kits and early screening kits.
- To launch an android and IOS based App which will make it easy to screen for disability at one’s
doorstep. Further, we will provide various consultations and therapy
programs customized for the CSWN so that people in all areas can have
access without distance acting as a hindrance. The Psychology Department of Amity University will be working with
RHF to create this APP.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->·
<!--[endif]-->To set up various
Rehabilitation and Therapy centers all over the world aimed at providing world-class solutions to
CWSN.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->·
<!--[endif]-->To create Parent Support
Networks in all places to pool together
resources.
- Students will get opportunity to work with CWSN as part of our internship program in various centers.
- RHF and Amity University will conduct programs, conferences and CME’s to create awareness for the same.
<!--[if !supportLists]-->·
<!--[endif]-->To launch
awareness campaigns on radio, TV, Newspapers and social media platforms.
- RHF & Amity University jointly plan to extend and expand its
association in conducting workshops, symposium, research programs in many countries, institutions and universities all over the
world.
- To bring together Heads and representatives of all the countries to
work jointly for this noble cause.
As part of this venture, we have
started our first Centre at SD Public School, Pitampura, and New Delhi. The school has a program for
children with special needs and is providing inclusive setup to more than 100
students. With our collaboration, they now have in-house psychologist,
homeopath doctor, occupational therapist and speech therapist to support the
children with special needs. There are customized IEP (Individualized Education
Program) for each child. Continuous awareness programs and workshops are
conducted to sensitize teachers, support staff and other children of the school
to accept and include children with special needs. The school has a high rate
of success in terms of inclusion and integration. We plan to parse this model
to other schools and encourage successful inclusion of children with special
needs in schools.
RHF has a dedicated Special Needs
and Rehabilitation Committee to carry forward this endeavor. This committee is
responsible for all networking, awareness campaigns and bringing the above
mentioned goals to fruition. We would like to bring about sustainable change in
the community and society towards CWSN. We will work towards development of
sustainable education institutions which will then help to mainstream these
children to the best of their abilities and make them productive citizens of
our society. This team will be responsible for raising funds which will be
deployed for betterment of these children and to fund new research and studies.
